Objectives

Main goal

To characterize the epidemiological, clinical, laboratory, electrophysiological and radiological profile of patients affected by myelitis, encephalitis, stroke (stroke) and / or acute peripheral polyneuropathy in the presence of an epidemic associated with the SARS-Cov-2 virus.

Secondary goals

1. Describe the subjects' epidemiological characteristics, identifying characteristics specific to SARS-CoV-2;

2. Describe the clinical characteristics of the acute phase and clinical outcome after 6 months of the subjects;

3. Describe the characteristics of complementary laboratory, electrophysiological and radiological exams presented by the subjects, identifying characteristics specific to the involvement by SARS-CoV-2;

4. Characterize and confirm the diagnosis of SARS-Cov-2 (molecular and serological) in the central and peripheral nervous system through the subjects' CSF and / or blood;

5. Assess and compare the persistence of SARS-CoV-2 at the time of neurological diagnosis and 90 days after in patients' CSF and serum;

6. Evaluate and compare the measurement of biomarkers of neuronal degeneration, cytokines and chemokines pro and anti-inflammatory at the time of neurological diagnosis and 90 days after in patients' CSF and serum;

7. Identify possible prognostic factors in patients with neurological manifestations associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection.
